Becoming a new parent OR becoming a care-giver for an older adult can be scary. It’s an ongoing, fluid situation that changes every time you turn around. Below are some of our more frequently asked questions. If you don’t see yours, just ask us. We are here to help.

Babies typically become mobile between 6 to 10 months, starting with rolling, scooting, or crawling. Every baby develops at their own pace, so some may move earlier or later. Mobility increases as muscle strength, coordination, and curiosity grow during this stage of development.

A baby is typically from birth to 12 months old, while a toddler is between 1 and 3 years. Toddlers begin walking, talking, and exploring more independently compared to babies.

Dementia is a general term for a decline in cognitive function affecting memory, thinking, and reasoning. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, characterized by specific brain changes and progressive memory loss that worsens over time.

Yes, you can improve your elder’s mobility by removing tripping hazards, and installing other safety devices, improving lighting, and using mobility aids like walkers or canes. Regular exercise  can also help maintain strength and balance.

Unfortunately – NO. We wish we could but no one can guarantee that your child or elder will not have an accident in your home. What we can do is minimize the probabilty, we just cannot eliminate it. 

We actually do not sell any products at all. We make recomendations as to what you need  but that’s it. If you purchase products such as door latches or any other safety equpment, we will, at your request, for a seperate hourly fee,  return and install those items for you. 

We can help you with that. We work with a partner that can supply you with a wood or metal handicap ramp. Price will depend on size and material and would require a seperate consultation.

We are in the Powhatan area in central Virginia but since we will be coming to you, it is more important to know where you are located. We service central Virginia and the surrounding areas.

Yes, we offer discounts to essential personel: Police – Firefighters – EMTs – Teachers – Medical Professionals – Active and Retired Military all receive discounts on our services. When you first reach out to us, just let us know if you are able to receive one of these discounts.
